To gain entrance into Wallington High School, children will need to sit two rounds of tests. The first round (also known as SET exams) tests children in maths and English (comprehension) in a multiple choice format. If children pass this round, they will be invited to sit the second round (also known as NWSSEE) which consists of mathematics and English (creative writing) in standard format. The marks in the NWSSEE will then be added to half of the aggregate mark achieved in the SET, with each part carrying equal weight, to create a total score in the Entrance Test.
