11+ exams for Wallington High School
Which 11+ tests do you have to sit for Wallington High School?
To gain entrance into Wallington High School, children will need to sit two rounds of tests. The first round (also known as SET exams) tests children in maths and English (comprehension) in a multiple choice format. If children pass this round, they will be invited to sit the second round (also known as NWSSEE) which consists of mathematics and English (creative writing) in standard format. The marks in the NWSSEE will then be added to half of the aggregate mark achieved in the SET, with each part carrying equal weight, to create a total score in the Entrance Test. The total scores will be used to create ranked lists and the higher the score the more likely the chance of receiving a place in the school. Places are distributed as follows: 35 places for children who receive Pupil Premium, 100 places for the highest scorers irrespective of home address and finally 110 places to the highest scorers within 6.7km of the school.
