What is the 11+ Measurements Course?
Our Online 2 Day 11+ Measurements Course is built to provide your child with all the techniques and confidence to tackle measurements questions in the 11+ exams.
Over 2 days, your child will revise and harness their skills in a virtual classroom environment, filling in any remaining gaps in knowledge and bringing their existing knowledge to a more advanced level. Topic based courses are perfect for making the most of your child’s Summer holidays, especially as so many students have missed out in schooling over the past months due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the intensive tuition, the virtual class environment and lesson structure is designed to be fun and engaging. This means that your child will be happy to learn, and more often than not, leave with a smile on their face and hopefully some new friends.
How is the 11+ Measurements Course structured?
Your child will receive 5 hours of lessons spread over a day. This ensures topics are covered thoroughly, while also reducing children’s exposed screen time per day
Each lesson will be according to our structured Measurements program and the 11 Plus syllabus. Students are instructed in topic and techniques showing them how to answer questions in the correct way, giving them the means to handle any new type of problem as they progress. Materials to supplement the classes are sent beforehand, and optional homework is given for those who would like to perfect what they have studied.
We carry out ongoing analysis and assessment throughout all of our courses, so we can let you know where your child struggled with throughout the course and suggest further steps to help them overcome their weaknesses.

Where is the course delivered?
This course is delivered online and is controlled by our teaching managers, with instruction given by experienced tutors, who follow our programmes closely, ensuring the best service possible. Students take live online classes with a tutor in small groups of 2-4 students. This range enables the teachers to give one-to-one support whilst maintaining the group dynamic which adds support and encouragement from peers.
For class sessions, we make use of an online interactive whiteboard alongside online video calling via Google Meet. This tried and tested method is very easy to use – and thanks to our years of experience working with students internationally, we now have a track record of effective online tuition with children from ages 8 to 18 in many subjects.
Advances in digital technology have been empowering for the educational sphere and children are usually more engaged and get more attention from our online classes than they would anywhere else (including school!) Children tell us they like meeting other children from different schools who are also sitting the exam – working in a group helps children to become more comfortable and confident in a shorter time-frame.
When is the 11+ Measurements Course?
We run several courses throughout the year. Our Easter holidays, May half term and October half term courses are one week long and are perfect for intensive revision. Each week long course does differ and is focused on a different set of skill sets that will greatly benefit your child in exams and in later life. We recommend your child repeat our 11+ courses at different dates in order to cover everything necessary for the 11+ exams.
Whilst over the Summer holidays, our courses are split by topic to deliver thorough instruction on dedicated topics in Maths (measurements, geometry, algebra, numbers, fractions/decimals/percentages,  statistics and word problems), English (creative writing and comprehension) and reasoning (non verbal and verbal).
