Our February Half-Term 11+ Course builds essential skills in maths, comprehension and creative writing. Designed to boost confidence, refresh knowledge and improve exam technique, it supports Year 5 pupils preparing for competitive grammar and independent school entrance exams.
The 11+ February Half-Term Course held face-to-face in London is a lively, structured four-day programme designed to strengthen children’s confidence and mastery of the key skills required for 11+ success. With entrance exams approaching, Year 5 pupils are guided through the essential areas assessed by both grammar and independent schools: mathematics, comprehension and creative writing.
This course is ideal for families preparing for competitive London schools. Over the past 12 years, we have supported more than 800 pupils in securing places at leading schools, including St Paul’s, Wetherby, Latymer Upper, Dulwich College, King’s, Emanuel, Kingston Grammar, Westminster, Putney High, Francis Holland, NLCS, Godolphin, City of London, Wallington Girls/Boys, Nonsuch, Tiffin, St Olave’s and many more.
The February Half-Term Course runs from Monday to Thursday, 10.00am – 3.30pm. It is managed by experienced instructors with over 20 years’ combined expertise in 11+ preparation.
Class sizes are small, with a maximum of 7:1 student–tutor ratio, ensuring focused teaching, tailored support and meaningful progress. All classwork, homework, assessments, mock exams and online practice questions are included.
A full mock exam takes place at the start of the course to help us identify each child’s strengths and areas to develop. This allows us to group pupils appropriately and provide targeted teaching so every child is challenged at the right level.
After the course, parents receive a written report with clear feedback and practical recommendations, keeping you fully informed of your child’s progress.
Although intensive, the course is designed to be enjoyable and motivating. Lessons are interactive and supportive, helping pupils learn with confidence and leave each day feeling positive—and often with new friends.
You may book the full four days, or choose the two-day Maths or two-day English option depending on your child’s needs.
The 11+ February Half-Term Course is designed for pupils in Year 5 who are preparing for grammar and independent school entrance exams. Whether your child has been working towards the 11+ for some time or is only just beginning their preparation, they are very welcome. The course supports children at all stages, offering stretch, consolidation and confidence-building in equal measure.
To ensure children receive maximum benefit, children will be grouped appropriately. This course is recommended for students in Year 5 preparing for either independent school or grammar school 11+ entrance exams.
