Our 10+ October Course is built to provide your child with the techniques and confidence required to be a successful candidate for your chosen schools’ entrance exams. Over the week, your child will revise and harness their skills in a class environment, filling in any remaining gaps in knowledge and bringing their existing knowledge to a more advanced level.
The course is based upon the most popular topics for the entrance exams: mathematics, creative writing, comprehension, exam technique, interview practice, and reasoning skills – ideal for children preparing for ISEB, Atom, CEM, GL, school-written papers and other entrance exam formats.
The 10+ October Half-Term Course runs over five days, from Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 3:30pm. Our experienced course managers oversee the programme, bringing together more than 20 years of collective expertise in entrance exam preparation.
We deliver lessons in small online groups, with a maximum of six pupils per tutor. In practice, most groups contain just two to three children, allowing tutors to give each pupil personalised attention and maintain a focused learning environment. Coursebooks are included in the price and posted to parents before the course begins, so pupils can follow along easily during lessons.
At the end of the course, pupils complete a mock exam. This helps us identify individual strengths and areas for development and ensures teaching is pitched appropriately throughout the week. Following the course, parents receive a detailed written report within 10 working days, containing honest feedback and clear, practical recommendations for next steps.
These intensive courses are perfect for making the most of your child’s October half-term. Despite the intensive tuition, the class environment and lesson structure is built to be fun and engaging. This means that your child will be happy to learn, and more often than not, leave with a smile on their face and some new friends.

The 10 October Half Term Course is designed for Year 5 students preparing for 10+ independent school entrance exams, as well as Year 5 students gearing up for 11+ independent and grammar school exams. Whether your child has been preparing for years or is just starting their journey, this course welcomes all students, regardless of their current stage in the process.
To ensure children receive maximum benefit, children will be grouped according to ability and year group. If your child is in Year 4 and currently preparing for the 10+ exams, we recommend your child enrols in our 9+ Courses.
